Biocrude

Algal biocrude is the untreated oil that is extracted from the microalgae biomass harvested from our AGSTM Technology. In addition to algae, which is considered a third generation feedstock, biocrude can be produced from soy, palm and canola. Unlike traditional crude oil (derived from petroleum), biocrude (derived from biological sources) is a renewable resource. Biocrude can be processed into biofuels similarly to the way crude oil is processed into fuel (gasoline).

Solix’s algal biocrude can be processed into several fuel types including green diesel, biojet and biodiesel.
